Radia-Guard attends ASTRO in Los Angeles

Posted under Miscellaneous

Radiation Oncology professionals attending the 49th annual meeting of the American Society of Therapeutic Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) received information about Radia-Guard products for their patients.  The meeting was held October 28th-November 1st in Los Angeles, CA.

Lucy Sugg, RN, MSN, company president, and Nina Wagner, RN, National Sales Director, were on hand to provide samples and information to attendees.

Radia-Guard Radiation Treatment Lotion protocols were described and discussed with Physicians, Nurses and Therapists.  When used from the beginning of the treatment cycle, patients only need to use 1 products to moisturize, soothe, and condition the skin.  Leaving no residue, the skin does not have to be washed prior to treatments.  No residue is also more comfortable for the patients since they do not have to worry about stains or clothes "sticking" to them.

ReStructure Cream is the after care treatment that is preferred and requested by many patients.  This cream is used after completion of the cycle of treatments.  Patients have described amazing results in softening the skin and improving the texture, tone and brightness.

Discreet Deodorant was again a favorite product among the care-givers working with breast and chest wall patients.  This metallic-free spray deodorant is made from natural ingredients and has a pleasant lavendar scent.

The Exhibit Hall was all "aglow" with the 2007 version of the Radia-Guardian Angel flashing pins.  Many people visited the Radia-Guard booth in anticipation of the latest version of angel pins.  Numerous professionals report that these pins have been given away to patients in need of a smile, a hug, and hope from a guardian angel.

There was great anticipation for the drawing held on Tuesday evening.  Receiving a new iPod Touch was Karen Allen from Glendale, AZ.  Congratulations, Karen!
